Sweet Lily

Lily loves to help take care of Tom. Sometimes she's a bit too smothering with her junior mom efforts, ("No, he doesn't need a blanket over his face...babies don't need pillows on top of their faces, either") but her intentions are good. The other day, she gave Tom a kiss on the cheek and said "I just love you, Baby Tom." Awwwwww! She's really excited for him to start going to daycare with her. It'll be great for them to be at the same place because Tom will have a familiar face to make him smile. Matt's not quite as excited, as it means he'll have to actually get out of bed before 6:30 and wrestle with getting both kids out the door and still make it into work on time. We all have to be extra nice to Matt during the month of June while he gets used to this arrangement! Posted by Picasa

Synchronized Napping!

You are getting veeerrrry sleeeepy...at the same time as your sister...YES! For the past couple of weeks, both kids have miraculously been napping at the same time. Soooo much better than the days when Tom would nap, then Lily, or when neither of them would nap at all after a night when I'd been up every 2 hours. I love having a break from Mom duty. Tom is also sleeping through the night like a champ. I think I'm the luckiest Mom ever! Posted by Picasa

No more chocolate??!!

I've noticed a pattern with Tom that whenever I eat chocolate, he spits up like mad. At first, I thought it was just when I ate crazy amounts, like half a bag of Cadbury mini eggs in one day (totally hypothetical situation, of course!). Last week, I ate a rather big piece of chocolate birthday cake, and he barfed and had an upset stomach. I thought, OK, I can eat less than that. But last night, I ate 2 measly Ghirardhelli chocolate squares, and this morning, he was a geyser of baby puke. I'm smiling in this picture because it was taken before I realized the gravity of the situation. He's lucky he's so cute, or I'd be really pissed.  Posted by Picasa
