How much is that baby in the window?

Priceless. Posted by Picasa

Last month, Tom's cousins Katie and Robyn and Aunt Kris and Uncle Dan visited. Katie braved holding Tom, even though he was having a pretty fussy afternoon! I think he'll be happier to see them this summer when they visit Michigan again. Posted by Picasa

Lead the way, sis

Lily loves to hold Tom's hand, and tell him about things he can't do yet because "you a tiny little tiny baby" and things that he'll be able to do when he gets bigger. She's so sweet and protective of him, and always tries to soothe him when he's crying. It's so gratifying for her to see him smile at her when she's singing and making monkey noises at him! The other day, she sat next to Tom, held his hand, and said "Baby Tom, you just my best fwiend." I still get teary just thinking about it, and I hope they'll always have the close loving bond that already seems to have developed between them. Posted by Picasa

Fat Man in a Little Tub

It seems Tom has already outgrown the infant tub, as of about 2 weeks ago. I've been bathing him in the kitchen sink, but that's a bit awkward because he's too long for that, too. I guess it's time to move on to the little chair that suctions to the bottom of the tub.
Note to Future Tom: please don't be too angry with me for putting a baby tub photo on the blog. It was just too cute to keep to myself!

tummy time

There's a bald patch worn on the back of Tom's head from lying down so much. I guess I need to put him on his stomach more...he doesn't hate it as much as Lily did as a baby. He's getting quite strong even though I forget to put him on his belly as much as I probably should. Here you can see how his ears turn down like his Grandpa Tom's, and he's getting ready to stick his tongue out and smile at me. It looks like he's going to have blue eyes, too, but maybe just not as big and intense as Lily's.  Posted by Picasa

Sisterly Love

Lily loooooves to give Tom big kisses every morning. Sometimes I'm afraid she's going to squash him in her enthusiasm. Usually, he smiles at her, even though she gets crumbs and drool all over his face. Posted by Picasa
